Kagi has announced a new in-game registration method similar to esellerate's.
Where does this place Kagi in the distribution wars?
It's not really new. It was implemented in our game a month ago. It works perfectly and it's very user-friendly. I don't know if our customers use it though... :p

Put a little piece of information with the order you send inside the game to identify it as such.
I would be very interested in the number of orders that come from inside the game as opposed to the website.
The Kagi code is even supported inside Runtime Revolution projects, or at least is slated to be: I'm not sure if it's totally done yet.
Put a little piece of information with the order you send inside the game to identify it as such.Actually that will already be there - if you use the KRM system then you receive TFYP mails as normal, in which will be a line like one of:
Note: CV-KRM XcodeMachO 01.00.10.z
Note: SSL from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx via KOOP 4.8.0en for supplier 6AF.
The former is a payment from the KRM system, the normal is from the web order page (although you can also insert custom tags that will be carried through to the TFYP mail).

However if you have a Carbon/Cocoa/REALBasic app, you should be able to use the system today; an example of what the process looks like to a user is here (http://www.zonic.co.uk/products/krm/ui.html).
