Greetings, I'll state firstly that for the creation of this artwork, I'm willing to pay a flat fee on completion of the art, plus royalties on sales of the game.

The game for which the art is required is a cutesy/winter themed arcade-ish puzzle game, to be released as shareware within a couple of weeks for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux; the game is already playable, with the guts of the game being code complete.

A very brief synopsis of the gameplay is as follows:
The game is the strange child of a mating of Puyo Puyo and Tetris, where the player must struggle against both a punishing time limit and the falling blocks which threaten to overflow the screen.
The player only completes a level when the have performed a certain no. of block removing 'combos', but this isn't just a matter of lining up rows of columns of like blocks, as patterns must be matched for blocks to be removed from the screen.
A cute winter theme, but frantic gameplay...
To give you an idea of the volume of artwork which needs to be created, below is a listing of almost the entirety of the art assets required by the project:
• three types of blocks, with 'vanishing' animations for two of them - block dimensions should be 24x24 pixels, with either a 1bit or 8bit alpha layer, depending on the block type;
• three backgrounds - background dimensions should match those of the playing field, 7x9 blocks;
• digit and letter characters for representing the time remaining in each level, as well as other game statistics - characters should fit within 24x24 pixels.

Anyway, if you're interested in collaborating, please either reply to this thread or email me at sealfin@sealfin.com, and I'll discuss with you the fees and requirements in more detail.

Thanks for your time,

Mark Bishop
