Openning .xCode with PB...

Ok, I've come across several games that I want to compile (not to mention my own),
They all have .xcode files, I have Jaguar so I have to use PB...
I was told that PB can open xcode files... When I change .xcode to .pbproj and open it
it says:

Couldn't open /Users/binary/Desktop/bzflag-2.0.2.20050318/BZFlag.pbproj.

Reason: didn't find classname for 'isa' key.


Do i need a later version of PB, or does PB even open xcode file???


I'm looking around apple for a new version of PB and I'll try that but I dont' think that's
it... (I get that error to all xcode files I've ever tryed)

I just installed the Developer tools update from apple (300MB :wow:) Maybe apple wasn't
"un-compatible" these OS versions and provided a converter (or I heard wrong just have to update PB:???:)

I have no idea where you live, or what the minimum wage is, but in all the time you spend on here posting inane responses to iDG threads, you could be out mowing lawns or whatever. Apple OS upgrades are not that expensive, if you cared to work for them.

BinarySpike: As someone who hasn't switched to Panther, either, I can safely confirm that there is no way to convert an XCode project into a Project Builder project. Sorry. Either do it from scratch or try compiling the linux package from the command line.

We have xCode projects Codewarrior projects and makefiles (terminal projects:???:).

I have to update all my .h's on my old 6.0 Codewarrior I have to change some
Gcc data for the makefiles (version info on the makefiles).
And I need xCode to open the xCode projects :wacko:

Apple OS upgrades are not that expensive, if you cared to work for them.


A) My Game-Cube broke a while back (about four weeks ago) and I have to get
another one unless Revolution has support for Game-Cube controllers like
it does for the games.
($100 minimum)

B) I would have bought Panther but my RAM is low (128MB), and my speed is
like super low (350Mhz).

C) It would be cheaper to buy a new computer than upgrade my iMac.
($500 minimum, But I want the better mac mini... $600)

D) Then I have to buy the Tiger upgrade (because after Tiger comes out panther will
become obsolete just like Jaguar is now!)
(Lowest I've seen the OS upgrades are $150, Lowest I've seen used OS upgrades are $30)

My Rev B iMac can run Panther, and it's faster than Jaguar.

Specs: 333 MHz G3, 160 MB RAM

If you have Jaguar, you can buy the update, like I did. It costs like 49 euros, so maybe 45 dollars or something. I dunno if there's an education discount.

Well, actually I just dumped all my financial aid money into my Mac fund because I was busy WORKing already to pay for school.

Last quarter I took 3 classes (13 units), finished with a 4.0 GPA for the quarter, AND worked 35hours a week at crappy, low-paying job. And until you do that, please just stfu with your can't-afford-an-upgrade bs.
