I am in contact with a user who has downloaded a program which fail when she tries to launch it (different program, different user than in the other post I just put up). I would like her to try run the program and then send me back the standard output that the program produces. However I am not sure how to launch a program such that you can view its standard output. Usually when I want to see the STDO I just run my program from within Xcode. Is there a way to launch apps from the terminal which will show the standard output?
Thanks

it should appear in console -- /Applications/Utilities/Console
get her to press the clear button, then run your program, then copy and paste everything into an email to you.

Of course you are right. I hadn't used the Console app in some time and like a moron when I tried to run it earlier I used the Terminal app instead. Not surprissingly, I saw no std-o. Thanks, Alex
