If you're creating iOS apps or games, Cafio makes it easy to convert your audio files to the Core Audio Format (.caf).

Cafio offers both AAC and IMA4 with bitrates from 16 to 320 kbps. Using AAC is great for background audio. Using IMA4 (mono) is an uncompressed format and is great for repeating sound effects such as gun fire and so forth.

Cafio also has "Sticky Window" and "Transparent Window" options. Sticky Window keeps the apps window on top of all other windows while hunting for audio files to convert. Transparent Window allows you to see right through Cafio while hunting for audio files to convert.

While converting audio files, the drag-and-drop area spins like a windmill until complete.

New update on the Mac App Store. No new features were added. Just ported from Carbon to Cocoa and sandboxed to meet the requirements of OS X Mountain Lion. Wink
