Hi there,

We are developing an app and are considering the in-app purchasing model. Our expansion packs, however, will be over 10mb. Does anyone have experience with this, where someone is making a purchase in-app but the pack is over the 10mb over-the-air download cap? Will it allow the purchase and then when the user syncs with a computer it will complete the download?

If you're going with the model where data is pulled from your server rather than included in the app itself and unlocked then downloads are independent of the App Store and subject to normal data access restrictions. So theoretically no cap but worst case scenario you could always split your modules to 10mb chunks.

Remember also that users will often have to re-download the packs when they've had to re-install the app (either from deleting and re-installing it later or if they have to wipe and re-install their device). They don't get charged again but it can be a pain to have to redownload all the data.
