udg 2011 entry - Zorg - Jul 4, 2011 11:10 AM Name: Will figure out / reveal later Objective: Will figure out / reveal later Genre: Will figure out / reveal later Current tools: SDL, OpenGL, C, Ruby Requirements: Mac OS X 10.6 (I'll decide later if I want to target 10.5..) I'm making a 3D game. Right now, I got this character up on the screen along with some platforms. Currently, I implemented moving around, looking around, jumping, and falling. I set up a little obstacle course, hehe. Controls: w s a d to move; p ; l ' to look around; spacebar to jump; R to reset position Source code Build 1 RE: udg 2011 entry - ThemsAllTook - Jul 4, 2011 11:29 AM Pretty cool! It'd be easier to judge jumps if the shadow were drawn while you're in the air and not just on the ground, but everything else is looking good. RE: udg 2011 entry - OneSadCookie - Jul 4, 2011 11:37 AM Please, folks who are uploading builds, name the zip the same as the file it extracts... I could only find "boomblast" by extracting five copies and looking for a big run of duplicates in the list! RE: udg 2011 entry - Zorg - Jul 4, 2011 02:09 PM lol, sorry about that OneSadCookie, I fixed it. I'll look into the shadow thing. If I can't find it after about 5 times, I make a folder called LOL on my desktop and extract it in there. (although most of the time, "lol" is taken) |
