"Quit gamed and choose restart"

Hey everyone,

After working in Xcode 4.5 awhile, it started acting buggy and I figured I needed to shut down... I was getting a weird "clang failed with exit code 255" error I had never seen before.

While I was restarting the machine, a message appeared that looked like it was going to halt the restart of my machine. It included the phrase "quit gamed and choose restart".

Does anyone know what the gamed process is? I assume some daemon, but ... I'd like to make sure.

Thanks!

I think it's the gamecenter process when it's running on iOS, or in your case, through the simulator. I've got:

/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator6.0.sdk/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.gamed.plist
