Anyone interested in receiving a review copy of "Beginning iPhone Games Development" (Apress) by Eric Wing?
You would need to do a review. I need a reliable person that can do this. Too often I send a book to someone and a review never comes back or it comes 6 months later and ia a paragraph long.

Thanks,

Sounds like something that one would require an ADC iPhone Developer account for. Ordinarily I'd offer my services to generate some badly mangled English about the book, but seeing as how I lack the necessary equipment...

I'll pass.

It is indeed tempting though. I think that perhaps your problem is that the majority of people around here with ADC memberships are already working on their game project (and therefore can't be bothered with the book) and those (like me) who are unemployed and have all the time in the world to read a book simply don't have the money to spend on the ADC membership to be able to properly test the book to properly review it.

I could be totally insane, but that's why I think you're not getting much response.

Technically speaking, Chris, you'd need to be in the iPhone Developer Program. That's $99 a year. Other forms of ADC membership used to be a LOT more. Not sure if they recently changed the prices, but that cost like $1000+.

Yup, ADC iPhone developer program. Which is sad, because all joking aside, I'm actually quite good at the Engrish language. I kinda think I could write a good review. Sad

(I'm obviously using informal/casual language right now; when I step it up and bother to proofread myself, I can be quite literate. Then again, that probably applies to all of us.)

I am also available to write a review. I feel qualified as I am new to iPhone development but have been a game programmer for many years.

You list this same title here, but by saying "Mark stepped forward" I'm assuming that this title isn't available for review?

I apologize, your right, I listed the book that Mark will review. I've assigned 978-1-4302-3021-2 to Brian. PM for another title. Thanks

We can also acquired any book at No Starch Press

PM if interested. But don't PM if you plan on receiving the book and never writing the review (like some have in the past).
