Nice find! Thanks.

I've got a few books on game design, and them along with everything else I've read on game design is just so flippin obvious. I'm more interested in how to structure code and solve particular problems then "how to make your character lovable."
Yeah, there are too many "soft" books on game design pitched towards "I WANT TO MAEK GAEM" kids. I am still looking for a really great "game algorithms" book.

This is probably due to the fact that in the mainstream industry programmers and designers are completely different beasts.
That said I'd still like to see the design-centric books include more about game theory, perhaps game trees, dominated/dominating strategies, payoff tables, and so forth.

What about the Game Programming Gems set of books?
The brains and fingers behind Malarkey Software (plus caretaker of the world's two brattiest felines).
Yeah, the GPG series is great, I just don't have the money for any of them yet.
