Font to Bitmap?
Hey guys,
I've been working on my Mac engine for the last few years and it's going pretty well - models, shaders, object structures, textures blah blah.
However, now comes the time when I really need fonts.
How would you guys go about doing fonts in an OpenGL Mac game?
I'd like to have an offline tool that will render the characters I choose from a font into a texture and save that out as a PNG or other regular graphics format.
Anyone got any ideas? Able to recommend any tools?

There are plenty of choices out there. I've used and like this one: http://code.google.com/p/aerosol/source/...y/makefont
We have just release Glyph Designer which sounds like the kind of tool you need

I can vouch for Glyph Designer. I've been using it for a week or so, and it has made dealing with Fonts a breeze.
