Xcode 4 from Appstore or Website?
Does it make a difference if your a developer and you download Xcode 4 from the appstore instead of the developer website? Like if you downloaded it from the developer website it has something inside of it that says it belongs to you as a developer, but it doesn't do that for an appstore download?

I have not heard that there are any differences. The App Store one will have updates delivered via the App Store mechanism, which as I've read on the App Store are full downloads, not patches. The one through the dev program doesn't have anything special that I am aware of.
Ok thanks.
Are the updates from the dev program patches? If so that would make updating Xcode alot easier as you wouldn't have to redownload the entire 4 gb program.

Unfortunately, no. It's still a massive download for every update.
Darn, that sucks. Thanks for the reply though.
