Your Story [uDG 2011]
I've made some gameplay changes based on the feedback I've had so far. Minor things, but there's a checkpoint in the dark level and it should be more obvious that you have to find a vent afterwards (you can't go back).
I've also added a timer and a message at the end. My best times: 5:04 for full completion, 3:00 just aiming for speed. (I wasn't sure about this; having the timer always present could make it more stressful, but I think speedruns add a bit of replay value.)

I love the speed run idea, i was already trying to do it myself! Gives you a reason to try it over and over again.

So was I

Love love love the speedrun timer too. My best is 2:56.6. I think I can get it below 2:50 if I run it perfect.
EDIT: 2:46.0

EDIT AGAIN: 2:44.3!! And that's with a few obvious mistakes too, I think sub 2:40 is definitely possible.
YET AGAIN: 2:43.4. I really need to stop now. And update my vote on this one because I'm hooked

A small conclusion post:
Scott has written up his postmortem. We planned to merge them before the deadline but didn't manage to. You can read it here: http://files.slembcke.net/temp/YourStory-Postmortem.txt
Thanks to:
- Everyone who played, gave feedback and voted. It's really rewarding.
- Scott, for making the game with me. I enjoyed working with you.
- Seth and the sponsors for making this year's uDG possible.
Good luck to Alex and Justin in IGF, and everyone who's continuing to work on their entries. I'm already looking forward to the next uDG, whenever it might be, and any mini contests that happen.

Yeah, it was good working with you maximile. A lot of times collaborative projects just end up going nowhere. I think kortham and tylersaurus are the only other people I've worked on anything with where we had something finished at the end to show.
Thank you Seth for all the hard work you put in behind the scenes.
