I started programming around 1998, first learning HyperCard and quickly moving on to REALbasic, releasing various bits of software under the banner of “Freak Software”. After having a long stint at the former Mac powerhouse website writing weekly REALbasic tutorials, writing the Q&A column for REALbasic Developer Magazine, and even doing some contract work with REAL Software, I moved on to Cocoa around 2004.

The first Cocoa app I started working on began life as WebWorkBench, a programmer’s text editor, now known as Araelium Edit (which is in constant development, and not due for a public release for quite some time.) During the last semester at California State University in Long Beach while earning my degree in Computer Science, I wrote Screenflick which has become a pretty popular screen recording application for Mac OS X.

Araelium Group

I am currently the sole developer of Araelium Group, a software company I started focused entirely on Mac OS X software. I created Screenflick, a popular screen recording program, Querious, a MySQL database admin app, DMG Canavs, a WYSIWYG Mac OS X disk images creator, and QuickPick, an application and document launcher. Araelium Edit may see the light of day at some point.
